The new “Leopard 2026” coin from the popular “African Wildlife” series is struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver and features a color design. The “African Wildlife” series from Somalia is issued annually with a changing leopard design and is hugely popular among collectors and investors worldwide. The design depicts a leopard striding energetically across a tree trunk.  The reverse side features the national emblem of the Republic of Somalia, which depicts the Somali flag and two leopards. The design also includes the face value and year of issue.

The leopard is a solitary animal, commonly found in Africa and Asia, and—along with the lion, tiger, and jaguar—is among the most elegant and powerful big cats on Earth. It is an excellent climber and, unlike most other big cats, can even climb down headfirst. Its excellent climbing skills also help it when hunting prey—it often drags its kills up into trees several meters high, where lions and hyenas can no longer reach them.
